Tales of a Water Drop: Lincoln Park Learning Garden

When heavy rain falls on a city, all that water has to go somewhere. In Albany, stormwater can enter a combined sewer system that carries both stormwater and wastewater. During heavy storms, too much water entering the system at once can contribute to combined sewer overflows.

The Lincoln Park Learning Garden helps tell a different story. By giving stormwater a place to slow down, collect and soak into the landscape, green infrastructure can help reduce the amount of water entering the sewer system all at once.

Tales of a Water Drop: Lincoln Park Learning Garden follows the Drop Squad through that journey—from a heavy rainstorm to a place where water can rest before returning to nature.
